Florida State Seminoles
This weeks Top 25 college football polls are out and guess who's back on the scene. After starting the season 2-0 and out scoring their opponents a combined 115-7, Bobby Bowden's Florida State Seminoles are the 24th ranked team in the nation.

Although they have looked impressive, the Seminoles have only beaten Western Carolina and Tennessee-Chattanooga, both division 1-AA schools. Their first real test will be this Saturday against the 19th ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons, a team that in most polls is the best team in the ACC.

Seminoles red-shirt sophomore QB, Christian Ponder says that since the Noles received their schedule, they have been looking ahead to this game against Wake Forest. For the entire summer, they have been focused on beating the Demon Deacons.
Something that Florida State has not been able to do since 2005.

Ponder said that his team is "not going to lose". He went on to say, "Everyone is going to be excited for this game. And I think we're going to make a statement. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I think with how prepared we're going to be... it's going to be tough for us to lose."

Ponder will find out how prepared he and the Noles really are when they step on Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.

Wake Forest has beaten the Seminoles in each of the last two seasons, including a 30-0 victory in Tallahassee in 2006. This complete annihilation of the Noles at Doak two years ago was easily the lowest point of coach Bowden's career at Florida State. Prior to that game, the Seminoles had won 14 straight over the Demon Deacons.
