Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Is Still Confident In Wade Phillips

Dallas Cowboys With the NFL season in full swing, there many be some panic setting in with the Dallas Cowboys. The boys in "Big D" have come in to the 2010 season with Super Bowl aspirations, however their play on the field has left them winless heading into Week 3.
While fans and the media are looking for a quick solution to whatever seems to be ailing the Cowboys, their owner does not seem to think the problem lies with the head coach.
On Friday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told KRLD-FM in Dallas that he has not lost confidence in Wade Phillips. In fact, when Jones was asked if Phillips could be fired if the team falls to 0-3 after this Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, he adamantly said, "No."

Recently, there has been a lot of talk about the possibility of Phillips losing his job if Dallas does not start winning.
However, the fact of the matter is; Jerry Jones has never fired a coach in mid-season and the Cowboys' head man signed a new two-year contract at the end of last season.
In the grand scheme of things, the Cowboys have been getting better over all. Last year they claimed their second NFC East title in Phillips' three seasons and ended a 12-year playoff win drought. That was the main reason for the new contract.
Ironically enough, the last team to begin a season 0-3 was the 1998 Buffalo Bills. Another team coached by Phillips.
