Super Bowl week in the NFL is always full of sub-plots and this year in Miami is no different.

Will Peyton Manning take home another Lombardi Trophy on the same field as he did a few short years ago? Could Drew Brees bring home the Saints first Super Bowl Championship to a Post-Katrina city of New Orleans? Where does Archie's loyalties truly lie, with family or the organization for which he is an icon, or a little bit of both?

All those things may be great stories, however once the pre-game firework's smoke has cleared and the ball is place on the tee and signaled ready for play, none of that means a thing between the numbers.

The reality for bettors is that NFL odds makers create most of the drama. This years big game is going to go off with the Colts as the favorite. The line in most sportsbooks is listed at somewhere close to, Indianapolis -4.5 with the total in the contest sitting at about 56.5.

As far
as the X's and O's, both of these teams have explosive offenses that can put up points in bunches, so it may just come down to the defense that can make one or two big stops at crucial moments.

The Colts are already sitting behind the eight-ball with their best defender struggling with injury. Defensive end Dwight Freeney has a partially torn ligament in his right ankle and has not practiced all week. Freeney is being called and game-time decision, but he will be suited up and will play. The question is; for how long and in what capacity?

It is going to be interesting to see how the Colts defense reacts to an offense that is explosive as their own. The Colts' two playoff wins can against the Jets and Ravens, two teams that have similar styles. In both of those games, the Colts were able to withstand tough defense and make adjustments to score points and come away with wins.

Look for the Saints to score and score if the Colts can't pressure Brees.

I like the Saints in this one.
