Super Bowl XLIV Odds Sunday evening when Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints square off against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV, there is expected to be no shortage of offensive fireworks in Miami.
Three years ago, Manning won his first championship, leading Indianapolis to a 29-17 win over Chicago in South Florida.
While Manning looks to do it again, Brees and the a Saints offense that put up the most yards from scrimmage in 2009 will be doing their best to out score the high-powered Colts offense.
NFL odds makers are calling the Colts about a touchdown favorite in the big game. The line in Vegas is sitting at, Indianapolis -6 with the total in the contest set at 57.
The Saints put up of 6,400 yards of offense this season, scoring
While many could have put up a good argument for Brees to have won his first league MVP in 2009, Colts signal caller Peyton Manning was the man who actually came away with the award for the second year in a row and fourth overall.
Manning tossed 33 touchdowns while throwing for 4500 yards in 09'. The Colts' offense threw for more than 280 yards per game, second only to the Houston Texans who gained 290.9 yards per game throw the air.
This game lends itself for what is obivously going to be an offensive explosion. However, that is what scares me about taking the over 57 points.
The Saints average about 32 points per game while the Colts score about 26.
