In an interview with his former coach that is going to be airing this Sunday as part of CBS's Super Bowl XLIV coverage, imprisoned receiver Plaxico Burress vows that he will return to the NFL.

He also apologizes to the team that released him last April saying he is sorry for tarnishing the New York Giants organization.

The interview with Bill Cowher was conducted from the upstate New York prison where the receiver is currently incarcerated after pleading guilty to attempted weapons possession in the second degree.

Burress told Cowher, who was his coach for five years in Pittsburgh, that he works out about four times a week
in the prison to keep in shape for a possible comeback.

"It's not LA Fitness or Bally's, but I do sit-ups," Burress said in the interview. "I make do."

Burress became a Super Bowl hero when he caught the winning touchdown pass in the last minute of the Giants' 17-14 upset win over the previously unbeaten Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

The former No. one pick out of Michigan State was a great player and upon his release would be a good addition to any team if he can still play the game at a high level.

He will likely serve 20 months and be eligible for release in early 2011, however that would make him 35 years old before he could play another snap in the NFL.
