Mike Martz After about a month long search, the Chicago Bears finally found their new offensive coordinator. According to Reports, the Bears have hired former Rams head coach Mike Martz to run their offense.
Martz is expected to mold quarterback Jay Cutler much the same way as he brought along guys like Kurt Warner and Marc Bulger with the Rams' "Greatest Show on Turf."
His goal will be to turn around a struggling offense and get the most out of Cutler after the quarterback threw a league-leading 26 interceptions in 2009.
Bears players are thrilled.
"Even though I've never worked
Even though the Bears' search took weeks, Martz seemed like an obvious choice. He hired Bears current head coach Lovie Smith as the Rams defensive coordinator back in 2001.
The Bears still are looking for a defensive coordinator as well as a quarterbacks and tight ends coach, but with the addition of Martz to the staff, a huge piece of the puzzle complete.
