According to reports coming out of New England, quarterback Matt Cassel has decided to accept the Patriots' non-exclusive franchise tender. This gives Cassel a guaranteed salary of about $14.6 million for 2009.

The Kansas City Chiefs introduced their new head coach Todd Haley one day after agreeing to terms of a four-year, $12 million contract. Haley served as the Arizona Cardinals' offensive coordinator for the past two season.
The Chiefs couldn't be happier with their new head man.
