The Alabama Crimson Tide has moved into the no. 1 spot in the BCS standings, moving up a spot Sunday after beating Arkansas State 35-0 on Saturday. Along with the help they received when previously top-ranked Texas was beaten by the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The Red Raiders scored a touchdown with a second left at home to win against the Longhorns 39-33 Saturday night, jumped four spots to move into the no. 2.

The Penn State stayed in the no. 3 without playing. The Nittany Lions beat no. 11 Ohio State...

Florida State's is on the rise back to ACC supremacy, the Seminoles have made it back to the top of the conference standings, but it has not been easy. Noles coach Bobby Bowden tries to remain undefeated against Georgia Tech as his 16th-ranked Seminoles look for their 13th consecutive win over the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

The betting lines have the Seminoles a 2 point favorite on the road and odds makers are calling the total at 42 points...

Tennessee enters Saturday's match-up with South Carolina at 3-5 with losses to rivals Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. The Volunteers are in desperate need of a SEC road win but it won't be easy against a tough South Carolina team. Odds makers say the Gamecocks are 6 point favorites at home against the Vols.

Tennessee owns a 21-3-2 series edge over South Carolina. However, four of the last five games have been decided by seven points or less.

There was a time when the games between Oklahoma and Nebraska were anticipated and circled on calendars every year, but the struggles of the Sooners in the 1990s and the decline of the Cornhuskers in this decade have dulled the shine. The betting lines are calling the Sooners a 22 point favorite at home and odds makers do not expect too much defense as the total sits at 71.

Both teams need a win and probably to run the table the rest of the way for any hopes of a Big 12 Championship.

This year's meeting between the Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs will not be short of intensity or significance, with the loser almost certainly being knocked out of the National Championship race as well as the SEC East Division lead. Odds makers say the Gators are 6 1/2 point favorites at "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" in Jacksonville, Fla.

Florida, however, appears to have some extra behind them going into Saturday. The Gators felt disrespected by no. 6 Georgia in last season's matchup, and no. 8 Florida will be looking to avenge that bitter loss.

For Notre Dame, they need to be able to beat a top team. The 5-2 Irish have lost to the two top 25 caliber teams they've faced so far in Michigan State and North Carolina. They might have had a chance at doing so this Saturday if the previously ranked no. 17 Panthers hadn't...

The steady diet unbeatens opponents continues for the no. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns as they face-off with the third such team in four games. The 8-0 Texas Tech Red Raiders host the Longhorns at Jones SBC Stadium in Lubbock on Saturday. Odds makers have Texas 4 point favorites on the road against the no. 6 ranked Red Raiders.

After losing 2 of their last 3 games the 5-2 LSU Tigers are heavy favorites at home against the 2-5 Tulane Green Wave in Baton Rouge. Odds makers have the Bayou Bengals at -25 at Tiger Stadium with the total sitting at 55.

With perhaps the biggest game remaining on their schedule looming a week away against no. 2 Alabama, the 15th-ranked Tigers will be trying to avoid a letdown against Tulane...

Thursday night the South Florida Bulls head to Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats. The 24th ranked Bulls will be trying to avoid slipping out the Top 25 with another late season collapse. Odds makers are calling South Florida a 3 point favorite on the road with the total sitting at 51 1/2.

After starting 2008 5-0, including a 37-34 win against Kansas, the Bulls have lost two out of their last three against Big East opponents. South Florida looks to regroup when they visit Cincinnati this week...
