Washington Huskies quarterback Jake Locker answered the swirling questions about his future on Monday when he announced that he will return for his senior season instead of entering the NFL draft.
His decision is great news for the university, but is somewhat of a shock to NFL scouts as he was projected to be an early first round selection in this April's draft.
"After a great deal of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided to return to Washington and play my senior year," Locker said in a statement. "I am very excited about this...

NCAA Betting Odds - Army Black Knights vs Navy Midshipmen

The Army-Navy game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia is the only Division I game on the schedule this weekend. So, NCAA bettors will be focused on one of the biggest rivalry games college football has to offer.
The 8-4 U.S. Naval Academy football team is riding high on a triple-option offense that clicks with military precision. The Midshipmen may already have a seventh consecutive season with at least eight wins and a bowl berth wrapped up, but that won't mean this one will be short on intensity.
"This is a game in a lot of ways that transcends football," said Navy's inside linebacker and...

Volunteers Coach Lane Kiffin Does Not Know About Violations

Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin says he was not "aware" of any recruiting violations committed by himself, his assistants or support staff regarding the university's student ambassador program.
The NCAA is probing the Volunteer's football recruiting practices, more specifically, the use of recruiting "hostesses" who have apparently helped the program convince prep prospects to choose Tennessee by befriending them and attending their high school games.
Because the hostesses are a part of the university's Orange Pride student ambassador group, they would...

Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh picked up another honor Wednesday night, taking home the Rotary Lombardi Award as the nation's top lineman.
Suh was the defender chasing Texas quarterback Colt McCoy with just seconds left in the game and he threw the ball away as the clock ticked to zero. However, after a review, the Longhorns got back 1 second and a game winning field goal.
A Texas loss could have given undefeated TCU and fellow Lombardi Award finalist Jerry Hughes a spot in the...

As unfair it may seem to some, the fact remains, the Oklahoma Sooners will be representing the South in the Big 12 Championship Saturday against the Missouri Tigers. Odds makers are calling the Sooners heavy favorites in the controversial conference final. College football betting lines have Oklahoma at -16.5 with the total sitting at 79.
Putting all the BCS non-sense aside, Saturday's match-up should be very interesting. Oklahoma comes in at 11-1 and looks to continue to roll offensively and advance to an opportunity to play for a National Championship against the winner of the SEC Championship between Florida and Alabama.

Now that the dust has settled and Oklahoma is representing the South, the Big 12 championship game is set for Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium. The Missouri Tigers and the Sooners get set to face-off.
Oklahoma will be trying for their third straight conference championship. Last season the Sooners spoiled Missouri's national title hopes. This year the Tigers will be trying to do the same.
Missouri is seeking their first win in the Big 12 championship game after last year's debut. At 9-3, the Tigers could knock the Sooners out of a potential trip to the BCS title game. These two did not play this season, however, Missouri has only one once in the last 19 meetings...

In anticipation of improvement from a 7-6 season last year, Nick Saban's Crimson Tide were ranked 24th when the 2008 season began. In week one, Alabama dominated the then-ranked no. 9 Clemson Tigers, holding the ball for more than 41 minutes in a 34-10 victory.
